From December 17 to 23, 2018, eight artists from College of Arts of Beijing Language and Culture University went to Yangon, Myanmar to attend a five-day art and cultural exchange. The visit held three consecutive Myanmar friendly New Year concerts in Yangon, Myanmar, and visited Yangon State University of Culture and Arts.
The Chinese art delegation presented to the audience the most representative forms of Chinese music, such as Peking Opera, national instrumental music, folk songs, classical dance and so on.
The exchange performance during the trip was highly praised by the Chinese and Burmese audience. Hongliang, ambassador of the Chinese embassy in Myanmar said: “the friendship between China and Myanmar has a long history and it is of great significance to promote cultural exchanges between the two peoples through art. The excellent performance brought by Beijing Language and Culture University artists reflects the professional standards and Chinese style of Chinese artists.
